A calm and caring cocoon where every child and young person reaches their true potential
At Cocoon Kids we follow a holistic Child-Centred, personalised, bespoke approach. We use Creative Counselling and Play Therapy to help children and young people to explore and make sense of difficult feelings, emotions, memories and life's challenges.
Supporting local under resourced* (previously called *disadvantaged) children, young people and their families is close to all of our hearts at Cocoon Kids. Our team have lived-experience of disadvantage, social housing and ACEs, as well as local knowledge. We believe greater equity in mental health and wellbeing promotes improved life-outcomes, social inclusion and greater social mobility, providing a fairer and equal society for all.
Children, young people and their families tell us that it really helps that we 'get it' and understand.
We're Child Development, Attachment, Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and Trauma Informed practitioners. Our sessions are child and young person-led and Person-centred, but we also draw on other therapeutic approaches and skills to best support each child.
