Packages can be tailored to your needs, but typically we provide:

Cocoon Kids offers training and support packages for schools and organisations.

Our Mental Health and Emotional Wellbeing Training Packages cover a range of topics, including: bereavement support for Covid-19, Trauma, ACEs, self-harm, transitions, anxiety, sensory integration and regulatory strategies. Other topics are available on request.

We offer Support Packages for those families and other professionals. This may include support which is specific to the work with one child or young person, or more general support.

We also offer Wellbeing and Self-care Packages for your organisation. All resources used are provided, and each member will receive a Play Pack and other goodies to keep at the end.

Training and Support Package sessions can be tailored to your specific needs, but typically run for between 60-90 minutes.

we use neuroscience evidenced-based play, sensory and creative therapy skills as well as talk-based approaches... in our Self-care and Wellbeing Packages! Experience first-hand for yourself how and why sensory regulatory resources work. Each attendee will also receive a Play pack and other resources to keep.

We use all funding to provide low cost sessions:

we use all additional funding from training to reduce fees for the sessions

this helps us to offer low cost or free sessions to families on benefits, on low incomes, or who live in social housing
We know how important consistency is:

due to Covid-19 support meeting and assessments may be in-person, online or by phone

we will work with families to provide support at a day and time that suits them
We know that providing good outcomes from family support is essential:

families are an integral and active participants in their support

we use a range of standardised outcome measure to inform and assess change and progress

we use a range of family friendly assessments

we assess our effectiveness through feedback and outcome measures
Intervention Packages

Meeting with parent or carer and their child, for initial assessment and discussion of therapeutic intervention plan

Assessment meeting with child or young person and their parent or carer

Therapy sessions with child or young person

Review meetings with school, organisation, parent or carer and their child, every 6-8 weeks

Planned ending

Final meetings with school or organisation, and with parent or carer and their child, and written report

Play Pack support resources for home or school use
We belong to British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP) and British Association of Play Therapists (BAPT). As BAPT trained Creative Counsellors and Play Therapists, our approach is person and child-centred.
